چکیده

Electronic contracts describe inter-organizational business processes in terms of supply and consumption of electronic services (commonly Web services). In a given contract domain, it is usually possible to identify a set of welldefined common and variation points. Feature modeling is an ontology-like technique that has been widely used for capturing and managing commonalities and variabilities of product families in the context of software product line. This paper proposes a feature-based approach in order to decrease the complexity in Web service e-contract establishment. The feasibility of the approach is shown by a case study carried out within the telecom context and based on experimental software engineering concepts.

A Feature-based Approach to Web Services E-contract Establishment

This Ph.D. research proposes a feature-based approach to be applied in Web services e-contract establishment. It aims at improving the information structure and reuse of e-contracts, including QoS attributes. Features are used to represent possible contract elements in order to drive template instantiation and act, therefore, as a configuration space manager. The approach uses an econtract meta...

Electronic Contract Negotiation and Renegotiation using Features

Electronic contracts (e-contracts) usually describe cross-organizational business processes defining electronic services to be provided and consumed as well as constraints on service execution such as, for instance, Quality of Service (QoS). Due to market dynamism, it is common that organizations involved in a cooperation need to do some adjustments in a pre-established e-contract. These change...

Towards Modeling and Simulating a Multi-party Negotiation Protocol with Colored Petri Nets

E-contracting, i.e., establishing and enacting electronic contracts, has become important because of technological advances (e.g., the availability of web services) and more open markets. However, the establishment of an e-contract is complicated and error prone. There are multiple negotiation styles ranging from auctions to bilateral bargaining. This paper provides an approach for modeling mul...

Dynamic Collaboration of Businesses Using Web Services

This paper describes the trends of Web service technologies that support ‘Dynamic Collaboration.’ For the realization of collaboration in business, five important features are shown: (1) connectivity and interoperability, (2) security and safety, (3) robustness and reliability, (4) dynamism, and (5) contract. There are various specifications proposed on Web services and ebXML, which is a comple...

Aspect-Monitor - An Aspect-based Approach to WS-contract Monitoring

Contract monitoring is carried out to ensure the Quality of Services (QoS) attributes and levels specified in an electronic contract throughout a business process enactment. This paper proposes an approach to improve QoS monitoring based on the aspect-oriented paradigm. Monitoring concerns are encapsulated into aspects to be executed when specific process points are reached. Differently from ot...
